2024 Toyota Prius in Framingham
2024 Toyota Prius
Reinventing an icon is challenging, but Toyota pulled it off in 2023 when they redesigned the Prius, the
vehicle responsible for bringing hybrid technology into the mainstream. The 2024 model year of the Prius
continues these innovations as well as the fresh look, a head-turning design that breaks with past
traditions.
That said, Toyota kept a few favorite characteristics from the outgoing generation, besides its
exceptional fuel economy (up to 57 miles per gallon). It retains the practical hatchback body style for
crossover-like versatility, and all-wheel drive remains available for winter weather confidence. Buyers
can choose from the LE trim for essential driving or the top-tier Limited with a glass roof and other
premium touches. The mid-level XLE is a bridge between the entry-level and premier versions.

Trims and Powertrain
There are three Prius trims for 2024: LE, XLE, and Limited. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine unites with
an electric motor. With standard front-wheel drive (FWD), the Prius makes 194 horsepower, while optional
all-wheel drive (AWD) ticks the output up to 196 hp. Both drivetrains are managed by a continuously
variable transmission (CVT).
The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the Prius LE with FWD is 57 mpg in the city and 56 mpg on the
highway. The ratings change to 52 mpg (city or highway) for an FWD-equipped XLE or Limited. AWD will
change the LE's fuel economy to 53 mpg around town and 54 mpg on the open road, while the XLE and
Limited are estimated at 49 city/50 highway.
Standard Features
The base LE's equipment list includes remote keyless entry, single-zone climate control, fabric
upholstery, Bi-LED projector headlights, push-button start, heated power side mirrors, a SofTex-wrapped
steering wheel, six-way manually adjustable front seats, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The XLE adds
proximity keyless entry, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, SofTex upholstery, an eight-way
power driver's seat, wireless device charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing variable
intermittent windshield wipers, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
As the topmost Prius trim, the Limited gets the most upgrades: heated and ventilated front seats, a
fixed glass roof, a power liftback, a driver's memory system, and a digital key (a smartphone app that
provides vehicle access without a physical key). The glass roof and digital key are available for the
XLE, while the Limited can optioned with heated rear seats and a digital rearview mirror.
Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Systems
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes installed on every 2024 Prius. This grouping of driver-assist technologies consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-tracing assist, adaptive cruise control, proactive driving assist (helps with steering and braking), road sign assist, automatic high beams, safe exit assist, and rear seat reminder. Front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking are optional on the LE and standard on the XLE and Limited. A surround-view monitor and semi-autonomous parking are options unique to the Limited.
Infotainment and Connectivity
You'll manage the 2024 Prius's infotainment system through an 8-inch touchscreen in the LE and XLE; a 12.3-inch touchscreen comes standard in the Limited and is available for the XLE. Both systems are enhanced with wireless smartphone connectivity (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and Toyota Connected Services (for cloud-based navigation, emergency help, and remote features). Audio comes from a six-speaker setup in the LE and XLE and an eight-speaker JBL system in the Limited.
