2025 Toyota Land Cruiser
The Toyota Land Cruiser has earned its legendary status in the full-sized SUV segment, with a reputation built on rugged reliability that dates back to 1958. Over the course of its decades-long run, this icon has evolved to include some more and more premium touches to complement its top-shelf capabilities. The 2025 model continues the seventh generation, continuing the all-new design that the 2024 model-year redesign introduced. While it’s slightly smaller than its predecessors (an adjustment that corresponds to greater off-road agility), this Land Cruiser is as robust as ever, courtesy of Toyota’s formidable i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain. Alongside its performance, the Land Cruiser features a host of modern conveniences that affirm its status as one of the most advanced overlanders on the market.
This versatile SUV is crafted for both seasoned adventurers and those who seek a vehicle that’s dependable, spacious, and capable of conquering any environment. This time around, Toyota has added an eye-catching new paint color called Heritage Blue, which adds to the Land Cruiser’s retro-inspired charm.

Modern Hybrid Performance
The 2025 Land Cruiser is presented a simple set of two trim packages known as 1958 and Land Cruiser. The potent i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain pairs a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with dual electric motors, producing 326 net horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is channeled through an eight-speed automatic transmission to a standard full-time four-wheel drive system, delivering a balanced mix of power and efficiency. The expected EPA-estimated fuel economy is likely to remain where it was in 2024, at approximately 22 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. The ‘25 Land Cruiser has a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds, which is higher than that of its rival Ford Bronco.
Standard Equipment
As a nostalgic nod to the original Land Cruiser, the 1958 trim showcases classic circular LED headlights and a black “TOYOTA” heritage grille. But it’s filled with contemporary amenities, like proximity keyless entry, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a windshield wiper de-icer, and LED fog lights. Inside, the 1958 has fabric upholstery, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped shift knob, tri-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, a 7-inch digital multi-information display, push-button ignition, six USB-C ports, 12 cup and bottle holders, dual power outlets (12V and 120V), skid plates, and front and rear frame-mounted tow hooks.
Advanced Safety Features
Every 2025 Land Cruiser has Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 installed. This is a comprehensive driver-assist technology suite that bundles a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and proactive driving assist. The model’s additional standard safety features include a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, trailer merge warning, trailer sway control, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, and safe exit alert. With the Land Cruiser Package, the higher-priced trim gains lane change assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The 1958 trim comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that brings together everything you need to stay connected and informed: wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 30-day trial of Wi-Fi Connect, Bluetooth, and an audio system with six speakers. The Land Cruiser trim upgrades to a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker audio system, and a one-year trial of Drive Connect, which includes Cloud Navigation with Google Points of Interest, Intelligent Assistant voice recognition, and Destination Assist. For a more immersive audio experience, the available Land Cruiser Package will equip the range-topping trim with a booming 14-speaker JBL sound system.
