2025 Toyota Corolla FX Preview
2025 Toyota Corolla FX Preview
Toyota continues to expand upon the Corolla nameplate with the introduction of the FX Special Edition for model year 2025. This playful upgrade pays tribute to the dynamic Corolla FX16 from 1987, showing off an edgier look, more agile handling, and seriously cutting-edge technology. On the outside, look for comprehensive black accents, fresh 18-inch wheels, and a sporty rear spoiler that enhances the modelās athletic vibe. The Corolla FXās cabin will be equally enticing, with amenities designed to augment your driving experience, including a standard 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen and wireless phone charging.
While the Corolla FX is not yet available for purchase, itās expected to go on sale in the fall of 2024. Weāve put together some details ahead of its highly anticipated arrival.

Aggressive Yet Fun-Loving Design
Toyota pulls out all the stops with the new 2025 Corolla FX. Based on the sporty Corolla SE, the FX variant adds a distinctive rear spoiler and 18-inch satin-black finished alloy wheels with machined accents and black lug nuts. It also displays black mirror caps and badging. These enhancements amplify the current-generation Corollaās design, so itāll surely appeal to those eager to make a statement. Three paint colors will be offered: Midnight Black Metallic, Ice Cap, and Underground. The Ice Cap and Underground colors pair with a Midnight Black Metallic roof for a striking two-tone aesthetic.
Responsive and Engaging Performance
The Corolla FX will be built on the same TNGA-C platform as the other Corollas, incorporating a low center of gravity and a standard independent MacPherson-type strut front suspension with a stabilizer bar for optimal handling and ride comfort. What will set the Corolla FX apart, though, are its lowering springs, which allow it to sit slightly lower to the ground for a more aggressive stance. Not only that, but the electric power steering system has been refined for a sportier feel. Underneath the hood of the ā25 Corolla FX will be a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 169 hp. According to the EPAās fuel economy estimates, the model will achieve a fuel economy rating of 34 mpg combined.
Comfortable and Contemporary Interior
Toyota is keeping the interior of the ā25 Corolla FX fresh and contemporary. Unlike other Corolla Sedan trims, the FX will come with special Moonstone fabric upholstery with subtle orange contrast stitching, a treat to those who appreciate a little stylistic flair. It will also be set up with the 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen (optional for the other 2025 Corolla trims), a 7-inch digital multi-information display, and a wireless phone charger.
Safety and Driver-Assist Technologies
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 will be standard in the Corolla FX, just as it is with every other ā25 Corolla. This technology suite contains a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and proactive driving assist. For additional peace of mind, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert will be offered.
