The 2026 Toyota Corolla Sedan has arrived with a simplified trim lineup and added standard technology. The FX grade has been dropped, leaving the LE, SE, and XSE. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are now standard, adding an extra layer of safety to the Corolla’s already comprehensive collection of driver aids. Inside, the LE and SE gain a standard 7-inch digital gauge cluster, while the XSE moves up to a 12.3-inch display (which is optional for the SE via its Premium Package).
Reinforcing the value of the world's best-selling car, every 2026 Corolla comes with ToyotaCare. This complimentary program includes two years or 25,000 miles of standard scheduled maintenance covering oil and filter changes, tire rotations, multipoint inspections, and fluid level adjustments. The 2026 Corolla lineup consists of three trims: LE, SE, and XSE. Under their hood is a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) controls the standard front-wheel drivetrain. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for the LE is 32 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The SE and XSE are rated at 31 mpg around town and 40 mpg on the open road. The Corolla's trunk provides 13.1 cubic feet of cargo space.
The well-equipped Corolla LE has automatic climate control, LED exterior lighting, fabric upholstery, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, power side mirrors, remote keyless entry, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, intermittent windshield wipers, four USB ports (two per row), and 16-inch steel wheels with covers. The optional LE Premium Package adds proximity keyless entry, wireless device charging, and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The mid-tier SE is improved with sport-style seats, proximity keyless entry, LED exterior accent lighting, a sporty mesh-design gloss-black grille, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated power side-view mirrors, variable intermittent windshield wipers, dual chrome exhaust tips, illuminated sun visors, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Buyers can add the SE Premium Package to get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless device charging, and an enhanced infotainment system (described in a later section). The upgrades offered for the XSE include a power moonroof, heated front seats, SofTex leatherette upholstery with sport-fabric inserts, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a rear spoiler, and wireless device charging.
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on every 2026 Corolla. This suite of advanced driver aids unites forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, adaptive cruise control, and road sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard. Toyota also includes ten airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist control, and a rearview camera with projected path indicators.
All 2026 Corollas come with the Toyota Audio Multimedia system with six-speaker sound. The LE and SE get an 8-inch touchscreen, while the SE with the Premium Package and the XSE are upgraded with a 10.5-inch touchscreen. Both setups support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth. All trims are set up to access an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot and Toyota connected services. A nine-speaker JBL audio system is optional for the XSE.
