2026 Toyota
Corolla Cross

The Corolla Cross shows off a sharper design for 2026, along with updated technology and the same reliability and practicality that has made it a favorite among small-SUV buyers. Its refreshed exterior shows off a new grille with a geometric pattern framed within an updated front fascia. Toyota has also reconfigured the center console to have more storage space, while the top-level trim, the XLE, now gets a 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen. For many drivers, there’s no substitute for Toyota’s quality and longevity, and the 2026 version of this compact crossover will continue to please those buyers with its balance of style, efficiency, and versatility. If you’re interested in even more efficiency, please see our separate page on the 2026 Corolla Cross Hybrid.

Mechanical Specs and Trim Choices

The trim levels for the ’26 Corolla Cross – the L, LE, and XLE – are familiar to folks who know Toyota’s nomenclature. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine generating 169 horsepower pairs with a continuously variable transmission to form their powertrain. While front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard, all-wheel drive (AWD) is available on every trim. The FWD edition will please its drivers with EPA-estimated fuel economy of 31 miles per gallon around town and 33 mpg on the open road. The trade-off for the extra traction of AWD is slightly lower fuel economy: 29 city/31 highway. Towing is possible with the Corolla Cross: any combination of trim and drivetrain is able to pull up to 1,500 pounds.
