Join the Massachusetts Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the
WZLX Street Team for the CF Cycle for Life Training Ride at Bernardi Toyota,1626 Worcester Road, Framingham on Saturday, September 14, 2013. All cyclists and friends are welcome and
there is no charge to ride. Registration
begins at 8:30 AM and the ride starts at 9 AM.
A 28 mile ride designed and led by professional cyclist Mary Zider will
wind through the back roads of Framingham and surrounding communities. The ride will start and end at Bernardi
Toyota, where riders will be greeted by friends and Bernardi staff. Refreshments will be available and the ZLX
Street Team will be playing Classic Rock!
Riders and others present at the event will be eligible for a drawing to
win two tickets to the Steely Dan Concert at the Citi Performing Arts Center in
Boston on September 24th!
This training ride is to prepare participants in the CF Cycle for Life starting from the Fatima Shrine in Holliston on October 5, 2013. Riders will choose from one of three courses: 12, 30 or 65 miles throughout Holliston, Sherborn, Dover, Medway and other beautiful MetroWest communities. All are welcome! Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. More than 10 million Americans are unknowing, symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. The disease occurs in one out of every 3,500 live births of all Americans and about 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year.
Virtually every approved CF drug available today was made possible because of the CF Foundation's support. The CF Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind and is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance.
