2024 Toyota Tundra for Sale or Lease in Framingham

2024 Toyota Tundra

The Toyota Tundra, a remarkable full-sized pickup truck, has earned a reputation as one of the industry’s most iconic workhorses. It 1999, the Tundra became the first large pickup truck from a Japanese automaker to be built on American soil. Since then, it has consistently received numerous accolades and undergone a few redesigns, the latest of which occurred in 2022 to mark its third generation. The 2024 Tundra carries this legacy forward with some notable improvements that intensify its appeal.

This year, the four-wheel drive Platinum trim is now eligible for the TRD Off-Road Package, while the Limited qualifies for the sleek new Nightshade Package. The Limited also now comes with a standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and to top things off, the ’24 Tundra is now eligible for a 3-inch factory lift kit designed to enhance its significant off-road capabilities.

Trims, Configurations, and Powertrains

Toyota gives ‘24 Tundra buyers eight trim choices: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, 1794 Limited Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. You can choose from two cab styles (Double Cab and Crewmax) and three bed lengths (5.5-ft., 6.5-ft., and 8.1-ft.). Most trims are outfitted with a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine. In the SR, it makes 358 hp and 406 lb.-ft. of torque, but in the others, it produces 389 hp and 479 lb.-ft. of torque.

An optional hybrid system for the Platinum and 1794 Edition (standard in the 1794 Limited Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone) uses the same twin-turbo V6 engine accompanied by an electric motor. Together, they produce 437 hp and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. All come with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and while rear-wheel drive is standard in most trims, four-wheel drive (standard in the 1794 Limited Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone) is an option.

Fuel Efficiency, Towing, and Payload

With the non-hybrid powertrain and RWD, the ’24 Tundra gets up to an EPA-rated 20 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, while those with the hybrid pull off 19 city/22 highway. The Tundra is also quite the towing machine, as it’s capable of handling up to 12,000 pounds with ease. Not only that, but its payload caps at 1,940 lb.

Standard and Available Features

The SR combines both essential and upscale features, such as LED headlights, heated side mirrors, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, single-zone automatic climate control, and rear under-seat storage compartments. It also features an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and a six-speaker sound system. The SR5 adds LED fog lights, a deck rail system with four adjustable tie-down cleats and fixed cargo bed tie-down points, and selectable drive modes.

The Limited upgrades with power-folding and auto-dimming reverse gear tilt-down side mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, synthetic-leather upholstery, heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats with position memory for the driver, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 14-inch touchscreen.

The Platinum gains auto-leveling LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, two 120V power outlets, a panoramic glass roof, rear-door sunshades, ambient interior lighting, a wireless phone charger, a digital rearview mirror, leather upholstery, heated and ventilated rear seats, a heated power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, and a 12-speaker JBL audio system. The 1794 Edition distinguishes itself with a unique appearance, wood interior trim, and all-weather floor mats. The 1794 Limited Edition differs with inclusion of the hybrid powertrain, power running boards, premium leather seats with contrast stitching, and a 10-inch head-up display.

The TRD Pro sacrifices some luxuries but embraces a range of off-road upgrades, including a front skid plate, all-terrain tires on BBS wheels, an electronically controlled locking rear differential, a limited-slip differential, an off-road suspension, Multi-Terrain Select with crawl control and downhill assist, and a Multi-Terrain Monitor with selectable front, side, and rear views. Additionally, the TRD Pro gets an LED light bar, red interior accents, and synthetic-leather upholstery with technical camo inserts. The Capstone resembles the Platinum, but with the hybrid powertrain, power running boards, a 10-inch head-up display, and semi-aniline leather upholstery.

Several of those deluxe amenities are optional for the lower trims. Other notable add-ons include an adaptive variable suspension and a load-leveling rear height control air suspension. Two prominent packages are available as well. The TRD Off-Road Package can be added to most 4WD trims (although not the SR5) to supply many of the off-road enhancements found in the TRD Pro, along with Bilstein shocks. Meanwhile, the Nightshade Package is available to provide a blackout treatment for the Limited.

Advanced Safety Equipment

The 2024 Tundra is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 suite, which provides a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, automatic high beams, and road sign assist. The SR5 qualifies for blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, trailer merge warning, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking, and a panoramic view monitor. Most of those are standard in the Limited and above trims, except for the panoramic view monitor, which remains an option until you reach the Platinum level.
