Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Efficiency

The 2025 Corolla Hybrid lineup consists of three trims: LE, SE, and XLE. Each is powered by a gas-electric system that pairs a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to generate 138 horsepower. All trims have a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and standard front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available for the LE and SE. Fuel efficiency for the front-wheel-drive LE and XLE is an eye-opening 53 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway (as estimated by the EPA). That dips slightly to 51 city/44 highway with AWD. The SE achieves 50 mpg city/43 highway with FWD and 47 mpg city/41 highway with AWD.

Features by Trim Level

The LE comes with a solid assortment of essential features, including fabric upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, single-zone automatic climate control, four USB-C ports, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, remote keyless entry, LED lighting (headlights, DRLs, and taillights), power-adjustable side mirrors, intermittent windshield wipers, and 16-inch steel wheels with covers. Buyers can also opt for proximity keyless entry, push-button start, heated side mirrors with blind-spot indicators, and alloy wheels (16-inch).

The SE adds flair with sport seats featuring fabric inserts, metallic interior trim, a gloss-black mesh grille, a dual chrome-tipped exhaust, sport side rocker panels, and a color-keyed rear spoiler. On top of that, it gets the LE’s options (proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and heated side mirrors) as standard features, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, variable intermittent wipers, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The available upgrades for this trim include wireless phone charging, a moonroof, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, and blind-spot warning indicators for the side mirrors. The XLE builds on the LE with all the previously mentioned upgrades, plus leatherette upholstery (SofTex), heated front seats, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat.

Advanced Safety Equipment

Every ‘25 Corolla Hybrid trim comes with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance technologies. This includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, proactive driving assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, road sign assist, and full-speed dynamic radar cruise control. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available for the LE and SE, although it’s standard with the XLE.

Connectivity and Audio

The LE and SE receive an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 30-day trial of Wi-Fi Connect, a six-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. The SE is eligible for a 10.5-inch touchscreen, which is standard in the XLE. For added appeal, the XLE qualifies for an upscale nine-speaker JBL audio system.

All trims can be ordered with Toyota’s Drive Connect service, which bundles Cloud Navigation with Google Points of Interest, Intelligent Assistant voice recognition, and Destination Assist. The XLE comes with a one-year free trial of Drive Connect, after which a subscription is required.
